A tribute to Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush who, despite voluminious evidence to the contrary, said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile," adding that "even in retrospect" there was "nothing" to suggest that" and "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees," respectively.

W Bravely and Steadfastly Covers Up Ties to Abramoff

"I mean, there's thousands of people that come through and get their pictures taken," Mr. Bush said. "I'm also mindful that we live in a world in which those pictures will be used for pure political purposes, and they're not relevant to the investigation."

So basically what you're saying is the photographs are being withheld for "pure political purposes." That is, you want to deny your opposition any ammunition to use against you. Very brave of you. I guess "bring em' on" is relative to whose ass is under fire.

Certainly, it would be unfortunate if the photos were shown endlessly and needlessly several hundreds or thousands of times like the video of Bill Clinton hugging Monica Lewinsky. Too much time, effort, and money have gone into the production of the "image" which is George W. Bush to have it diminished by some irrelevant photos.
