A tribute to Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush who, despite voluminious evidence to the contrary, said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile," adding that "even in retrospect" there was "nothing" to suggest that" and "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees," respectively.

Just Shut Up!
What better way to diminish your critics than to have America's Bad Guy Numero Uno purportedly using the same rhetoric as those critics. This seems to be the theme from Chris Matthews when he says that on OBL's latest tape, O sounds like Michael Moore. I heard a similar "theme" on a Clear Channel radio program out of Sacramento, only there, they compared O to Alec Baldwin.
So W makes a speech where he says he welcomes open debate as long as it is on his terms and the subject matter not include "irresponsible rhethoric." "Irresponsible rhetoric" meaning pointing out the lies, deceptions, ulterior motives and gross incompetence which are trademarks of any Bush initiative. Then, after an appropriate time, so as not to be suspicious, a tape appears from OBL and even though translated from a foreign language, O is supposed to be parroting the words of anti-war critics and known Bush-haters. See why people need to "watch what they say?"
Into the fray jumps dimwit John Cornyn. He says the tape is more evidence that the unconstitutional, illegal, warrantless wiretapping of American citizens must be allowed to continue.
A neat and tidy package with which to bash administration critics. Just like in comedy, it's all in the timing.
So just shut up out there or be labeled an un-American traitor who's giving aid and comfort to the enemy. You've been warned!
