A tribute to Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush who, despite voluminious evidence to the contrary, said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile," adding that "even in retrospect" there was "nothing" to suggest that" and "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees," respectively.

Note to the GOP: No More Candy Coating

1. You can rationalize the leaking of Valerie Plame's identity all you want, that doesn't make it any less chickenshit.

2. We plan to use all these false statements you are making about the whole sordid mess to protect Karl Rove against you in the next election.

For example:

My republican opponent believes that it is acceptable behavior to compromise the intelligence efforts of the United States in time of war.

My republican opponent condones the disclosure of classified information for political purposes.

My republican opponent believes that it is acceptable to attack a person's wife when there is a dispute. Most patriotic Americans would call this the desperate act of a coward.

My republican opponent believes that the careers of two dedicated public servants are fair game in order to keep one of the lies being told the American people from being exposed.

My republican opponent believes the American people cannot see through their lies and they will do or say anything to justify their abuse of power.

My republican opponent represents the worst elements of the once great republican party. The party no longer believes in accountability. The party only believes in "states rights" when it suits them. The party of fiscal irresponsibility. The party that wants to put the government more forcefully into your private life. The party that has lost its moral footing.
