A tribute to Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush who, despite voluminious evidence to the contrary, said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile," adding that "even in retrospect" there was "nothing" to suggest that" and "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees," respectively.

Hardly Seems Plausible
Joseph Wilson: Top U.S. Diplomat in Iraq at start of Gulf War. Credited with securing the safety of hundreds of Americans and defiantly standing up to Saddam Hussein.
Dick Cheney: Secretary of Defense under GHW Bush 1989-1993

VICE PRES. CHENEY: No. I don’t know Joe Wilson. I’ve never met Joe Wilson.
Does is seem likely that the Secretary of Defense would not have any contact with the top diplomat of the country we were about to go to war against? Would never have met him?
BTW, in same interview, Cheney claimed he had severed "all" financial ties with Halliburton and had no influence on the rewarding of "no-bid" contracts.
