A tribute to Condoleeza Rice and George W. Bush who, despite voluminious evidence to the contrary, said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile," adding that "even in retrospect" there was "nothing" to suggest that" and "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees," respectively.

Republican Senators Are Liars!!!

Watch the weasels squirm. Try to predict how Rush will twist the facts so he won't have to admit that he's a tool. Is there an ounce of integrity left in the leadership of the Republican party?

Have some more cool-aid America!

All 55 Republican senators say they have never seen the Terri Schiavo political talking-points memo that Democrats say was circulated among Republicans during the floor debate over whether the federal government should intervene to prolong her life.

Now that Mel Martinez’s (R-Fla) office has admitted than one of their staffers created the memo, what do you suppose the chances are that one or more of the 55 Republican Senators is a lying d-bag?

Sen. Mel Martinez said tonight that he passed the anonymous political talking-points memo on the Terri Schiavo situation to Sen. Tom Harkin, doing so after Mr. Harkin had told reporters earlier in the day that his Florida colleague was the source of the memo.

Mr. Martinez, a Republican, said that unbeknownst to him, one of his staffers had produced the memo and it came into his possession. He said the staff member, whom he did not name, has resigned.

He said though, in response to repeated inquiries by The Washington Times, that he did not know he even had the memo or had passed it on until Mr. Harkin told him about it today. Mr. Martinez said he had meant to give Mr. Harkin a document describing Mr. Martinez's bill to prolong Mrs. Schiavo's life while federal courts reviewed her situation.

If you buy this story, the next time someone is caught carrying some contraband, let’s just accept their story that they “didn’t know” what it was or how it came to be in their possession. What are the odds that only one copy of the memo was made and Martinez had it, albeit without his knowledge. What a bunch of schmucks.
