Question of the Day: Why did the Washington Post contribute $100,000 to the recent presidential inauguration? No wonder they're "conflicted" over conflicts of interest.

It's Just A Coincidence Department: GWB is out promoting the benefits of electronic medical records and a major contributor, GE, justs so happens to be in the electronic medical records business. In a two-pronged attack on the public, GE has been touting this technology for several months now that the initial furor over having this sort of 1984 repository of information has died down.

Scurrying Weasel Department: All the bios for the so-called "News Team" at Talon News are no longer available. Too bad for them that Google has them cached and some enterprising bloggers in anticipation of just such a cover-up, sent them to themselves via email. I wonder if the two-day, intensive seminar from which Jeff Gannon (alias) "graduated" taught him how to cover his ass. Wasn't there something in the news recently about "diploma mills? Can you really graduate from a seminar?
